A colecção representa a genuína ambição de produzir e disseminar conhecimento entre os cidadãos, de democratizar o saber, onde cada livro é uma sala de aula, e cada leitor um potencial estudante sem mestre nem escola. A Biblioteca era composta por 7 séries: Ciências e Técnicas, Artes e Letras, Filosofia e Religião, Povos e Civilização, Biografias, Epopeias Humanas, Problemas do Nosso Tempo. Na exposição, cada secção foi atribuída a um artista. A instalação Monumento aos Heróis Anónimos da Biblioteca Cosmos incidiu sobre a secção Biografias. Como alternativa ao valor do herói na sociedade e nas narrativas históricas, propôs-se uma perspectiva centrada na comunidade e criação colectiva da Biblioteca. Para a realização das peças foram utilizados materiais do espólio das Edições Cosmos: os caracteres em chumbo, as matrizes de zincogravuras utilizadas nas ilustrações e as fichas de assinantes. Estes objectos são os traços visíveis das entranhas de uma economia editorial, suportada pelo acesso aos meios, pela construção de uma comunidade de leitores e pela promoção de um diálogo de proximidade entre todos os envolvidos. Ao negar a hegemonia da narrativa dos heróis, impunha-se desenhar um monumento instável, uma cenografia composta por estruturas simples e elementares: tábuas, varões e outros indícios. Com isto, testaram-se protocolos de exibição disfuncional, mostrando objectos não-resolvidos, matérias em suspenso ou em estado de transição. Uma nova publicação gratuita e de elevada tiragem permitiu restaurar uma economia da partilha – o jornal Como Reclamar a Incompreensível Dificuldade de Comunicar com os Mortos. Evitar o caminho da biografia não obriga necessariamente esquecer as forças individuais que possibilitaram a Cosmos, mas tão somente a imaginar essas forças individuais em cooperação. Dando continuidade a este movimento, para a materialização das peças, contou-se com a cumplicidade dos trabalhadores das oficinas municipais e do Museu do Neo-Realismo. aspas) Visita Guiada (fechar aspas) é uma deambulação em sete actos pela exposição A oficina de pintura encarregar-se-á das partes pintadas do cenário, que no âmbito dos 125 anos do São Luiz reuniu objectos, documentação e material gráfico relativo a colaborações de artistas plásticos com companhias e espectáculos que estiveram em cena no teatro municipal. Organizada como uma visita-guiada e sustentada pelos códigos de um espectáculo teatral, a performance apresenta-nos Aspas (André e. Teodósio) e Ponto (Patrícia da Silva) que através de uma voz-off (rumores dizem-nos que se trata da curadora da exposição Susana Pomba) percorrem o espaço da exposição com a audiência. Do guião de (abrir aspas) Visita Guiada (fechar aspas): • (ponto) &nbsp; &nbsp; «» (aspas)&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; Antes de começar esta ‘visita’, não queria deixar de vos colocar algumas questões. Por que é que vamos a visitas guiadas? Para sair da rotina ou entrar na vida dos outros? É medo de ficarmos sozinhos perante uma obra? É vontade de formar mais uma tribo temporária? É mais ou menos como no teatro? Para nos transformarmos em espectadores? Em caríssimos ouvintes? E quando olham para uma coisa conseguem só ver essa coisa? Precisam de alguém que vos confirme que o que estão a ver é mesmo o que estão a ver? De uma explicação coerente, que vos faça acreditar? De uma explicação que explique as forças que governam outras forças que por sua vez governam outras que finalmente nos levam às formas? A estas formas? (aponta para alguns dos objectos presentes na exposição, aqueles que lhe estão mais próximos)(...) Uma história está sempre entre factos e propaganda. Esta não é excepção. Vamos revelar as fraquezas dos heróis canónicos vs. as proezas dos anónimos. Lembrar que a História é apenas conhecimento acumulado, por vezes muito mal arrumado, muito mal limpo, a cheirar a arsénico, bolor, naftalina, humidade, como quem varre tudo para debaixo do tapete. Um exercício de visão periférica ou de estrabismo retórico. Partindo do princípio que assim que começamos a saber alguma coisa, devemos desistir imediatamente, sob pena de transformar um delicioso manjar no tema insosso de um pós-doc. Façamos antes uma ode à miopia intelectual e às ideias desfocadas. A) Um concurso de name-dropping, de bizarrices ou de curiosidades? É isso que propões? B) Isso mesmo. Porque não? Nem sempre teremos consciência da direcção que as coisas podem vir a tomar, muitas vezes entraremos em ângulos de distorção insuportável dos factos, noutras em zonas de contacto íntimo com personagens, momentos ou eventos. O Círculo das Leitoras Peripatéticas propôs uma leitura animada por palavras, imagens, música, sons, e outros aditivos, que ganharam raízes na Concha Acústica, mas levaram-nos pelo jardim por meio de três narrativas, três percursos distintos, que acabaram por se encontrar e cruzar caminho. O elo comum:&nbsp;deitar abaixo as musas-estátua sem voz, remexendo o fundo do lago, e revelando as histórias de mulheres criadoras, literatas, botânicas, artistas, cantoras. No final, o baile&nbsp;foi no fundo do mar à roda da concha. significativo de cartazes com frente e verso, excepções à anatomia elementar de um cartaz e ao seu esquema cultural e retórico. Se a frente do cartaz é quase sempre pública, o verso é quase sempre privado; se a frente é enfática, sintética, eficaz, o verso é um lugar inusitado, ignorado, poético, onírico, disfuncional; se a frente é um «rectângulo de apelo», o seu verso contém uma mensagem silenciosa. No verso do cartaz da representação brasileira da Bienal de Veneza de 1982, do artista Tunga, encontrámos a expressão “DIREITO AO REVERSO”, que serviu de ignição a três conversas, que por sua vez deram origem a 18 novos cartazes. Apresentados na sala onde se encontrava o cartaz original, estes novos cartazes registam e traduzem as conversas que tivemos com três cúmplices: António Brito Guterres, Joana Bagulho e Patrícia Portela. Uma simples dobra no conjunto de cartazes converteu esta instalação numa publicação. Este é, então, um elogio breve ao verso de todas as coisas. Susana Gaudêncio e Susana Pomba, para a reactivação de bibliotecas públicas ou privadas. A primeira intervenção do colectivo centrou-se na biblioteca criada pelo pintor Michael Biberstein e pela escritora Ana Nobre de Gusmão, situada na antiga residência do casal – o Moinho da Fonte Santa – que, entre 2013 e 2018, esteve ao cuidado de Manuel Mesquita e Mafalda Santos que ali geriram um programa de residências artísticas. A publicação, que resulta da residência, composta por três volumes e um cartaz, funcionou como libreto de uma leitura-caminhada e apresenta três roteiros de acesso à biblioteca Biberstein-Gusmão e à sua paisagem contígua, para todos os eventuais residentes da Fonte Santa. A nossa capacidade de armazenamento aumenta prodigiosamente, mas a esta não corresponde uma idêntica capacidade de processamento. Cada hard-drive é um vestígio da superabundância de informação à escala individual, espaço para onde convergem produção pessoal (imagens, textos, vídeos, etc.) e produção global (downloads, conteúdos de origem especificada ou anónima). Guardamos algo no nosso computador (através do comando “salvar”), porque a queremos preservar. Mas será que é isso que efetivamente acontece a uma grande maioria dos dados que gravamos nas nossas hard-drives? Não estarão a maioria dos nossos ficheiros num limbo existencial — entre o apagar definitivo (“lixo”) ou a perda eminente pela obsolescência de computadores, sistemas operativos ou suportes de armazenamento de dados? Em Elogio à hard-drive, a edição é a garantia de salvaguarda ou resgate da memória, perante a superabundância de conteúdos. As narrativas gráficas geradas a partir da recuperação de conteúdos previamente armazenados correspondem a uma mudança de estado: de conteúdo esquecido, inamovível, parado, congelado, para um conteúdo que é tornado público, que circula. O processo de edição não se baseou nos processos de indexação (mecanismo comum do arquivo), mas a partir de trilhos associativos: um processo que permite a seleção, organização, representação e distribuição do que admitimos ter valor perante tudo o que já existe. 8 publicações digitais.
